This stage running from Camariñas to Muxía measures 32.6km and the path goes round coastal inlets of extraordinary beauty.

The main inlet is the Ría de Camariñas, but rather confusingly there is a second inlet inside this one. The smaller one is called the Ría do Porto.

We leave the port of Camariñas to follow the AC-432 road out of the town, passing the fish canning factory and arriving at the first beach of the day, the Praia de Area da Vila.

Cross the beach and take the path at the end (left) of the sand which goes up and through pine trees to the second beach, the Praia de Lingunde.

The route continues to follow the shore of the Ría de Camariñas, now entering a wooded section called the Ensenada da Basa.

Trees are interspersed with clearings and then the trees come back until the route reaches the AC-432 road again and bears right along the pavement to enter the villages of O Cruceiro and Xaviña.

Following the roadside, keep an eye open for the green arrow signalling the turn off right along the lane.

It is a very pleasant section along the shore of the inlet, rounding a bend to continue through the woods, passing a picnic area and eventually arriving back at the AC-432 road.

Bear right for around 3km along the side of the road passing though the villages of Dor and O Allo, before reaching the town of Ponte do Porto.

We pass through the town and over the bridge (ponte in Galician) which crosses the Ría do Porto.

The Casino cultural building on the other side of the bridge is a good spot to stop for a coffee.

Over the bridge, we bear right to follow the walkway along the side of the Ría do Porto; it runs for around 1km to the ancient village of Cereixo.

The route passes the church which was constructed in the 12th century and through Cereixo to meet the CP-1603 road.
